Description:

The Director Finance provides all financial information to the CFO and supports him in the decision making of financially relevant decision. The Director Finance manages a team of financial experts in their daily routines, and provides guidance and support. Furthermore, the Director Finance actively supports other departments in their budgeting process. 

Scope:

Responsible for the statutory accounts ensuring the financial statements represent a true and fair view of the real operation

Responsible for reviewing budgets submitted by different departments so as to properly allocate financial resources 

The Role

• Implement and continuously adjust the financial policies and procedures in accordance with the corporate strategy and legal requirements
•   Monitor the corporate performance and oversee the way in which airline management accounts are presented to the CFO and the Management Board.
•  Control and manage the overall financial risk level that the airline is exposed to.
• Advise and support the CFO in all decisions that have a financial impact
•  Support the CFO in leading annual budgeting process in coordination with the CEO, Executive Management Team and department heads
• Maintain close contacts to external legal bodies, such like government and tax offices and external auditors, owners and investors.

Qualifications / Experiences

 Education:

• University degree in Financial Management, Corporate Financing, Accounting, Business Administration or comparable qualification.

Experience

• Minimum of five years working experience in the finance department of an airline, at least two of which in deputy to the head of the department
• Hands-on experience in all financial areas associated with an airline, such as Financial Accounting, Revenue Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Financial Controlling.

Skills

• Knowledge of budgeting process
• Knowledge of national and International accounting standards
•  Management skills

• Fluent in French and English.
