4G Africa recruits Driver

Position N°: 4GA 10/11

A company driver may be required to work extra hours depending on the travel distance and destination. He is found under the department of Administration and answerable to the manager Finance and Administration. His place of employment will be Douala.
Specific Responsibilities include:

• Prepare Vehicle by conducting operator maintenance
• Plan Route and requirements by studying schedule requests by the office
• Transport the Managing Director and guests
• Fulfill special requests by picking up and delivering items as directed and running errands
• Maintain confidence by keeping information strictly confidential

In addition, the Drive’s duties will also include:

• Check fuel and oil levels in vehicles before the commencement of duty.
• Inspect vehicle to ensure working conditions of brakes, lights, wipers, windshield, fire extinguisher, flares and other safety equipments are present and functioning.
•  Adjust mirrors on both sides of the vehicle to ensure clear visibility from the driver’s seat.
•  Overall maintenance and regular servicing of vehicle.

Key personal attributes of the prospective candidate:

• Be dynamic
• Well developed planning and organizational skills
• Be willing to travel.

Pre-requisite qualifications:

• Hold at least a FSLC
• Having at least 5 years experience in long distance driving
• Hold a driving licence
• Bilingual English/French is a plus
