A logistics coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the logistics process for a company. The logistics coordinator is under the administrative department and is answerable to the Manager Finance and Administration. The place of employment will be Yaoundé.
Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Logistics coordinators oversee the unloading of supplies in a warehouse or loading dock. The coordinator is also responsible for supervising the packing of purchased products into tractor trailers and ensuring prompt delivery of merchandise to customer.
  • Coordinates inventory of stock and insures product adjustments are properly applied. Receives, sorts, logs, and distributes all incoming shipments. Identifies, locates, obtains and arranges for shipment of requested replacement parts. Arranges warehousing and transportation of products to customers.
  • May investigate and respond to inquires regarding distribution and shipping.

In addition, the Drive’s duties will also include:
  • Ensures inventory accuracy by coordinating the inventories and goods system.
  • Organizes and maintains hard copy and electronic documentation supporting order fulfillment, distribution means, pricing, and contractual obligations
  • Codes, and prepares proper paperwork for billing and authorization of a variety of invoices per defined processes

Pre-requisite qualifications:
  • Minimum Degree in supplies management
  • Over 3 years proven work experience in logistics, warehousing and commodity accounting practices
  • Warehouses, transport contractors and coordinate activities in several work sites
  • Proven capacity to accept responsibility, able to work without close supervision, to implement decisions made by others.
  • Proven ability to work as a team member.
  • Good written and verbal communications.
  • Hold a driving licence
  • Bilingual English/French is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to produce reports with computer software (MS Word, Excel)
