PURPOSE



  • Develop & execute fully aligned, ambitious Trade Strategy & Commercial plans.
  • Recruit, develop and motivate Sales force to ensure superb execution of plans at the point of purchase.
  • Engender strong & supportive trade relationships
  • Executive leadership of all commercial activity
  • Leadership input outside the Commercial function

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



  • University Degree in business orientated professional or academic qualification
  • At least 10 years track record in sales including a strong and broad track record at a leadership level ideally with experience in at least 3 parts of Sales. Particularly critical is previous experience of P&L accountability and direct customer management at a senior level typically within both Field Sales and Account Management (although this will differ depending on the context).

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As Sales Director, you should be able to:


  • Drive development and use of stretching Commercial Plans grounded in Insights to deliver all Trade Strategy objectives
  • Define organizational structures and routes to market to deliver the strategic imperatives
  • Produce then execute an ambitious Trade Strategy aligned to GAME plans and grounded in CDOS and Implements control assurance and risk management compliant systems, processes and procedures control and measure key performance indicators.
  • Drive a culture of sales leadership through coaching, accompaniment nurture and import/export of talent and identify and develop a local successor
  • Drive for Guinness Cameron S.A to be recognized by Customers as Cameroon’s leader in Commercial management.



CAPABILITIES

You will need to have:

  • Depth of knowledge and the ability to coach others in all Diageo Way of Selling Capabilities and tools with particularly deep experience embedding DWS capabilities and tools within a Sales team.
  • Previous experience of leading leaders and getting results through a diverse range of teams as well as a track record of talent development and as an expert coach is important.
  • A high level of financial literacy and broad commercial understanding is critical. Previous experience of leading strategy development, change management and participation in a leadership team (can be market or function) is important.
  • A track record of delivering results as part of cross functional teams and/or working within another function is important.
  • Previous experience of working in other markets, regional or global roles/projects
  • Good ability to work long hours and physically fits

You will need also to be:

· Self starter with high levels of energy & commitment,
· Extremely well organized,
· Perfectly Bilingual English / French
