Key responsibilities
The Assistant Driller reports to the Driller. He is responsible for supervising the work on the drill floor and other work in connection with the drilling operations as well as ensuring safe operation of the equipment and technical systems he is instructed by the Driller to operate. Furthermore, he is responsible for the safety of all personnel working under his direct supervision.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist the Driller in ensuring that the drilling is performed in compliance with current safety regulations and procedures, and in accordance with the established programme and Maersk Drilling procedures and instructions
Inform the Driller if any irregularities occur
Keep the working environment for the drilling crew safe and in good condition

We are looking for
Preferable 2-3 years experience as Assistant Driller on offshore drilling rigs.
Good knowledge of mathematics (passed Driller's Qualification course 1 & 2 or a similar level).
Conversant with safety management principles.
Computer literate and conversant with computer based control systems is preferred.
Well Control certificate, Driller level issued by an institution approved by the IWCF.
Safety Training Courses and Medical Certificate in accordance with the requirements stipulated for regular crew by the Continental Shelf Authority for the current operating area.
